Green Harissa

Traditional harissa that using a combo of fresh herbs, spices & chilli.

You’ll need:

  • 2 tsp cumin seeds

  • 2 tsp coriander seeds

  • 3-15 red chilli peppers (I used Thai chillies)

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 65g sugar

  • 100ml vinegar (I used rice vinegar)

Place these in a food processor and blend until the coriander seeds start to crack.

  • 150g fresh coriander

  • 150g fresh mint take away the thick stalks

  • 100ml water

  • 10g salt

Add as much of the fresh herb as possible to the food processor and whizz until it’s blended. Add a little water accordingly if it gets too thick.

  • N.B. I added chopped garlic to the end result because I completely forgot to add it at the start. Though, it worked better than the original… honestly!!!
