Green Harissa
Traditional harissa that using a combo of fresh herbs, spices & chilli.
You’ll need:
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
3-15 red chilli peppers (I used Thai chillies)
3 cloves of garlic
65g sugar
100ml vinegar (I used rice vinegar)
Place these in a food processor and blend until the coriander seeds start to crack.
150g fresh coriander
150g fresh mint take away the thick stalks
100ml water
10g salt
Add as much of the fresh herb as possible to the food processor and whizz until it’s blended. Add a little water accordingly if it gets too thick.
N.B. I added chopped garlic to the end result because I completely forgot to add it at the start. Though, it worked better than the original… honestly!!!
